How to make your front desk at your salon or spa more profitable
Here are 5 ways to make your front desk operations to a profit center instead of a cost center.
1) Rebooking – A good goal is to be able to rebook clients before or at check out 60% of the time or more. Create an incentive for your front desk staff that gives them a bonus when ever they reach this threshold every month. Train your staff to ask the client to book their next service.
2) Retail – A good goal would be able to reach 25% of sales to be retail products. Coordinate stylist and other service provider’s efforts with the front desk staff to reach this goal every month.
3) Gift card sales are an important way to generate revenue at the front desk. Place point of sale reminders that you offer gift cards on the front desk and include your gift card information in your communications with your clients including newsletters, email confirmations and confirmation calls.
4) Referrals – Create a rewarding referral system for your clients. Train your front desk staff on effective ways to promote the referral program in Advantage Salon Software and Spa Software.
5) Loyalty point system – put in place a loyalty point system for your clients based upon the amount the client spends in your salon or spa. Train your front desk staff on how loyalty points are generated and how they are used or spent in your salon or spa.
