6.10 GIFT CERTIFICATES
To
setup Gift Certificates for sale, Select Setup from the
menu bar, then Client Options, then Setup Gift
Certificates. Enter the word Gift Certificate at the top
of the screen then click the Find Now button. For Gift
Certificate Payment Type, select Gift Certificate from the
drop down menu. Now, you may enter the Number that you want the
Gift Certificates to begin at and as you sell Gift Certificates, the
software will automatically increment this number. Make sure to
SAVE your changes.
On both the regular and touch screen versions of the point of sale
program, you will notice a Gift Certificate button. This
button allows you to sell a Gift Certificate and
track it to the purchaser. When you select that button a
screen will pop up prompting you to enter a Gift Certificate
number. Then you can enter the Gift Certificate amount at
that point as well.
Gift Certificates as a Payment Type: On the Payment screen the
Gift Certificate button will allow you to choose Gift Certificate (which
is saved under the purchaser’s name). The system will track the
unused balance amount for each Gift Certificate.
