SELECT FROM THE MENU
BAR EMPLOYEE THEN SETUP THEN SETUP SERVICES OR
SELECT THE SERVICES BUTTON FROM THE MAIN SCREEN
This screen will let you setup all the
services the salon renders for clients.
n Use the New Service button to add a service and the Edit Service and/or Delete Service buttons to change or delete
services. You must select a service to
edit or delete it.
n When adding a New Service
enter the Service Name, Price, Length
of Time
to perform the service, whether or not the service is taxable.
n **If there is no Product Charge (or service charge) be sure to
enter the number zero (0) in the space provided. (the price of the service should include
this charge,
ADVANTAGE Salon Software
and Spa Software will deduct it for you later)**
This amount is deducted before commissions are calculated for stylists or
technicians who render this specific service. The
commissions are therefore calculated from the sale amount less the product charge. The product charge is in essence an adjustment for
material used to perform a specific service like a color or perm.
n Use the Scheduler Color button to select a color for the
service in the appointment book. You should
categorize your scheduler colors with the services (use the same color for similar
services so that they will coincide with the colors on the Legend across the bottom of the
Scheduler.)
n Time
length is the total time a service will take to perform in the appointment book, while
initial time is the amount of time you want to
block out for the initial part of an appointment that you want to setup a gap to be able
to schedule another appointment within this appointments, while the interval time is the time you want to unblock
out for another service to be performed for the service.
For instance, a color type service is 1 hour 45 minutes while the initial time is
45 minutes you setup an interval time of 30 minutes.
Then the remaining 30 minutes are blocked out.
Make sure you
select the OK button in the Service window.
Or select the Cancel button to reverse
changes.
