Tips to Use YouTube to promote your salon or spa

YouTube has more than 1 billion users and many are right in your community. YouTube is a great avenue to show case your beautiful salon with video as well as images that you can create a video with. But you should also use YouTube to highlight your expertise with how to videos and consultations. Here are 8 great tips for using YouTube to promote your salon or spa business.
1) You do not need a great camera to create videos; most new smart phones have a camera that is capable or creating videos good enough for YouTube. Also you can you use a free application like windows live movie maker to take your digital photos on your pc and make a video out of them. This is especially helpful when you are creating a video show casing your salon décor and facilities!
2)Use Keywords Everywhere.
The best way to help people find your videos is by including your keywords in the title, description, and tags. Make sure to put in your salons address, phone number and web address in your description
Example Keyword: “Apply hair gel”
In the title- How to apply hair gel
In the video description- http://www.Yoursalonwebsite.com/– Do you want to know how to use hair gel?

3) Pick a great looking thumbnail image.
Go to My Account then My Videos then Edit ,Select the thumbnail that will get you the most attention and views.
4) Put your website URL in the Description
Add the “http://” version of your URL to the beginning of your video description so people can click on your link and visit your site. This will also increase your Google page ranking as well as visibility on search engines. Again make sure to include your physical address in the description so when people do YouTube or Google search for a salon or spa in your area your videos will also appear in their search!
5) Ask your video viewers to perform other actions.
Ask them to please rate this video, follow me on Twitter, like me on Facebook, Subscribe to my videos, Embed this on your site, Please post your comments, Send this video to your friends, Check out my videos on my channel.
6) Always try to sell softly
Always include in your video descriptions at the end of your videos phone number and website so people can call for an appointment as well your hours of operations. Tell them about the salon or spa you work at. Tell them about any specials or special services you provide.
7) Uploading videos to YouTube isn’t enough. You need to promote them. Embed your videos in your blog or website, email links to your YouTube videos to your friends and clients, and post your video links to your social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
8) Look for videos related to your business and area and post links to your videos in the comment section of the videos.
